Robert Longest

Robbie is a resident of Hanover County where he attended and graduated from Lee-Davis High School. He grew up around agriculture on his father’s side of the family with his grandfather and great uncles. He has been involved in the family farming operation in King and Queen County as the third generation, assisting in the production of grain crops, forages, and cattle.

Robbie attended Virginia Tech and graduated in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in Crop and Soil Environmental Sciences – Agronomy. After graduation, Robbie began graduate school and worked at the Tidewater Agriculture and Research Extension Center located in Suffolk, Virginia where he worked on his master’s research titled “Tillage System Effects on Upland Cotton Yield and Development In Virginia”.

Robbie graduated in 2017 from Virginia Tech with his Masters of Science Degree in Crop and Soil Environmental Sciences – Agronomy. He began working for Virginia Cooperative Extension in Essex County in June of 2018 as an Associate Agriculture and Natural Resources Extension Agent
